Loughborough Greenfields CC is a thriving cricket club, with some of the finest facilities in the area. The senior teams have  been long standing regulars to the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket League (formally the Everards Cricket League).

Over recent years, the club emphasis has been youth, with several of the youngsters having progressed to playing at senior level. We welcome players of all abilities and ages, whether you are under 10 and just starting your cricketing career or a little older and to experience competitive cricket in a friendly atmosphere. The club prides itself on being family friendly with fun and social events held throughout the year.

We hold ECB Clubmark accreditation.

When can you play?

The club’s three Saturday teams play in the Leicestershire & Rutland County Cricket League, the 1st XI in Premier Division 2 and the 2nd XI in Championship Division 1 North and our third team are in Championship Division 4 North. Friendly Development fixtures are arranged for Sunday afternoon for those looking for a steady pace that is good for the older players and younger ones looking to build their confidence in adult matches. Practice sessions are held at the ground in the summer months. The club can provide kit if necessary.

Winter training is held indoors at an offsite venue.

Facilities

A ten wicket square and a good quality outfield with sightscreens, are overlooked by a two storey pavilion with full changing and shower facilities. Practice facilities include a cage net facility and a bowling machine. During junior games the BBQ is often out for light refreshments.

Do you have children that would like to learn cricket?

We currently have teams playing competitively at U13’s (Sunday morning) and Under 15’s on Wednesday evenings, U10 (Kwikcricket) and U11 (Incrediball) age groups both play on a Friday evening with a soft ball and are an ideal introduction to the game. Junior training is on a Friday evening whether outdoors or inside in the winter months. Ask for details.
We are also an ECB Allstars and Dynamos registered centre. This eight week program runs in the summer and starts in May.
Our coaches are ECB qualified and all helpers are DBS registered.

Girls/Ladies Cricket
